Refugees Football Session

Refugees/Asylum Seekers

Football for Refugee/Asylum Seeking Women

This project aims to provide refugee/asylum seeking women with an opportunity to participate in recreational football, whilst socialising with others in the local community.

Alongside the football session, women are also able to engage in educational sessions, training courses, English speaking lessons, and other development opportunities led by external organisations. All sessions are free of charge and facilitated by both Hampshire FA and Southampton and Winchester Visitors Group (SWVG) staff members. Bus fares to and from the venue are fully re-funded, and a creche is available for young children. The video below showcases the pilot project delivered during the 2020/21 season.

Sessions will re-commence in November for the 2021/22 season, for further information please contact: Hannah.Humphreys@HampshireFA.com
