Referees

Supporting AND DEVELOPING our officials

Ever tried playing a game of football without a referee? It's difficult, right...?

Here at Hampshire FA we are dedicated to supporting and developing a team of highly motivated and FA qualified referees. Refereeing is a great way to be involved in football and they play a crucial role in the game; without a referee the game simply can't happen.

There are opportunities for everyone to get involved in refereeing, whether you only want to referee at your local club or progress to the international stage, Hampshire FA is here to aid you on your journey.

Think you can't do it? Think again! Hampshire FA set a student with no prior refereeing or football experience, on The FA Referees Course. Rachel completed the course and passed....everything is possible. Check out the 'Make me a Documentary' below:

YOU ARE NOT ALONE

RefereeingĀ Support

Our referees are recruited, trained and examined to enable a smooth grassroots operation.  As they gain experience further opportunities are provided to aid their development and progression.  Appointments are made to adult and youth County Cup ties, together with games in certain FA competitions.
