Not at all; the skills of a mentor are empathy, encouragement, motivation and communication. If you have these in abundance you are the type of person we're looking for.

Yes, you do. Mentors receive a fee to cover time and expenses - for more information on mentor fees please, get in touch.

As much or as little as you can offer - there is no minimum requirement or limit to how much you do.

Just contact our Referee Development Officer Andrew Bailey with your name, home town location, age, FA Number (FAN), availability and number of years’ experience.

Currently there are no referee mentor workshops. However if you are interested in becoming a referee mentor, please contact Andrew Bailey the Referee Development Officer.

Any referee can be a Mentor to other referees. If you are a young referee at School, are there other referees there that can assist you with advice or you can offer advice to. Contact Andrew Bailey Referee Development Officer for more details.
