Hampshire FA Partners with FA Affiliated Small Sided Provider PowerPlay

PowerPlay has entered into a 1-season agreement as Silver Supporters of Hampshire FA.

PowerPlay is a small-sided football provider affiliated to The FA and has one of the UK’s largest networks of leagues. As experts in their field, PowerPlay organise and operate football leagues across the UK and have done so for over 15 years. The provider appoints FA qualified officials on their leagues, provide the teams with balls, amazing trophies and take care of all the admin to further simplify the process.

There are currently four leagues in Hampshire at Winchester, Andover, Basingstoke, and Southampton based at our very own Stoneham Lane Football Complex. Additionally, the provider will join forces with Hampshire FA to launch a Workplaces Tournament taking place on Sunday 13th August at the Stoneham Lane Football Complex, inviting workplaces, both partners of Hampshire FA and non-partners to facilitate a one-off tournament for business teams. Prices start from £35.00 per team (competition-specific). Corporate teams are welcome to book online via the PowerPlay site here.

“It is great to welcome back a small-sided football provider to the county FA partner programme. PowerPlay are part of the Power League group of businesses who are a well-regarded and respected commercial small-sided football operator throughout the UK. We look forward to working in partnership with PowerPlay which will hopefully offer mutual benefits to both organisations and greater participation opportunities. Small-sided football offers opportunities to many individuals that simply cannot commit to fielding an 11-a-side team or make weekend fixtures due to commitments. The leagues provide weekly playing opportunities in addition to weekends, making the game every bit accessible for all involved”. Neil Cassar, Hampshire FA CEO.

’We’re delighted to be partnering with Hampshire FA and further increasing opportunities for local communities to access the small-sided game. Regular football has so many benefits including mental and physical health, as well as being a great social, and we look forward to working together to provide this service for the local communities.’’ Ian Dougherty, Head of Powerplay.
