HAMPSHIRE FA SATURDAY SENIOR CUP FINAL SPONSORED BY BSA REGAL
⚽ FARNBOROUGH FC v EASTLEIGH FC
📅 TUESDAY 29TH MARCH 2022 – 19:45 BST KO
🏟 SILVERLAKE STADIUM, EASTLEIGH
Last year’s final unfortunately had to be played behind closed doors as a result of COVID-19 regulations. Nonetheless, thousands tuned in to our live stream on YouTube, provided by Solent University, for a blockbuster clash between AFC Bournemouth and Eastleigh FC. The game ended in incredible fashion with AFC Bournemouth goalkeeper, Mark Travers, equalising with a header from a corner in the dying minutes of the game. Travers went on to secure the Man of the Match Award sponsored by BSA Regal, making two saves in the dreaded penalty shoot-out to help AFC Bournemouth lift the trophy.
This year, the competition will be welcoming back spectators for what will hopefully be another hugely exciting cup final! Farnborough FC currently sit 4th in the Southern League South Division, challenging for promotion to the National League South Division (step two of the football pyramid). This final will give them a fantastic opportunity to test themselves against higher opposition. Meanwhile, National League side, Eastleigh FC, will be looking to make up for last year’s cup final heartbreak and secure their first bit of silverware under new manager Lee Bradbury.
