Congratulations Lucas S and James D for being the Hampshire FA Academy Students Of The Month for January 2022!

Winners are selected, one from the Red team and one from the Blue team, based on their attitude and achievements, both on and off the pitch.

Reds: Lucas S

Lee Burch, Academy Head Coach, says: ‘Lucas has consistently performed throughout the season and was instrumental in the recent win v Procision. His level of training and commitment has been excellent.’

Danny Joseph, FE Sports Lecturer at SCL, continues and says: ‘Lucas has really upped his game over the last month, his punctuality and engagement in class and the quality of his projects have all been outstanding. Lucas is a very positive individual and it is clear to see the progress Lucas has made since starting the programme with us in September. Lucas continues to push himself both in the theory and practical side of the course and I hope this continues throughout the year. Well done, Lucas!’

Blues: James D

Lee Burch, Academy Head Coach, starts by saying: ‘James has developed so much in the time with the academy, he has moulded into a good wing back, giving the team some balance, and his confidence is growing with each training session and game.’

Danny Joseph, FE Sports Lecturer at SCL, says: ‘James has continued to be brilliant this term and has raised the bar incredibly high for future student of the month. He has excelled in his projects and has achieved his highest ever grades in the last two projects and has scored the top scores in the whole academy with his fitness test results. Well done, James - keep up the hard work!’
