Hampshire FA introduces a new award for the 2023 Grassroots Football Awards. Open to Hampshire FA clubs and/or leagues, we invite our members to put forward their nominations and best practice examples of the work and successful outcomes, they have achieved by working with one of their partners (sponsor).
As this is a new (pilot) award for the 2022/23 season, the county FA also welcomes submissions from the 2021/22 season as well as the 2022/23 season to ensure we can maximise the opportunities for members. The conditional requirement is that the partner MUST still be associated with the club or league in the current 2022/23 season if the submission is based on work and achievements from last year.
Only one award is available for one club or league based in Hampshire and must be affiliated to Hampshire FA. The club and/or league must be able to demonstrate how they have made a considerable impact and produced successful outcomes for their club or league through the partnership with their sponsor. This could be a partnership that has yielded results in the form of being able to set up additional teams based on the funds of their sponsorship. Other examples as food for thought may include (but not limited to):
- Putting on a local community event jointly with the sponsor that may have made the local press and drawn interest back to their club or league with new players or volunteers.
- Contributed to the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility goals through joined-up collaboration on environmental activities.
- Launched creative and engaging initiatives to combat well-known and/or global issues (see Cadbury's and Manchester United's as an example here).
Open for entries: Thursday 1st December 2022
Deadline for entries: Thursday 16th February 2023 at 5pm
Judges review submissions: Friday 17th February - Thursday 9th March 2023.
Judges decision day: Wednesday 15th March 2023 (this will be the Teams/meeting date)
This award is flexible and what success looks like to one person, is entirely different to another. A selected group of Hampshire FA Commercial Partners will review all nominations and will decide on the award-winning entry. The most votes will receive the award on that account. If there is a tie, the two nominations will be sent to all other commercial partners to cast their vote on the two by the deadline as seen on the form. Hampshire FA will not have any involvement in the process other than to coordinate these arrangements.
Full details can be found here and nominations are OPEN now.
