Inclusion Advisory Group Networking Event
Hampshire FA is organising a networking event to showcase the recent work that we have undertaken to make football more inclusive and diverse across the county.
The event will take place on Thursday 22nd September 2022 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Stoneham Lane Football Complex (SO16 2PA).
Focused on "Diversity & Inclusion in grassroots football", our event will talk about the recent Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) projects carried out by Hampshire FA to engage all its communities, address any gaps in provision, tackle all forms of discrimination, and reduce the barriers preventing women & girls, people with disability, and people from ethnically diverse backgrounds from taking part in grassroots football within Hampshire.
The networking event will consist of:
- Presentation of IAG's role, how it is holding Hants FA accountable while inspiring change within our workforce and our projects.
- Panel of local EDI champions discussing what the next steps should be for making "Football for All".
- Networking with like-minded individuals who are interested in EDI, community work and grassroots sports.
Confirmed speakers for this event include Duke Harrison-Hunter from Pompey in the Community, Natalie Weaving the co-founder of the Typeface Group, Rob Trent the chair of Toucan-Diversity CIC, David Warnes coordinator of the Active Through Football project led by Saints Foundation, Abdoulie Sanneh who represents The United Voices of African Associations, and Melanie Robinson the newly appointed chair of Hampshire FA’s IAG.
Food and drinks will be available throughout the evening.
Under 18s need to sign additional consent form from a legal guardian/parent.
