VACANCY: Active Through Football Coordinator
This is a role with Saints Foundation as part of the Active Through Football Initiative, a projectbeing delivered by a consortium of local organisations including Hampshire FA.
What will you be doing?
You will be developing a team to organise sessions for participants aged 16+ from the Newtown/Nicholstown area, using football themed activities to improve physical health in targeted groups. You’ll be working closely with Health Projects Manager and be responsible for the management and coordination of our exciting new project ‘Active Through Football’.
The role is based at the home of Southampton Football Club, St Mary’s Stadium, joining a vibrant team who really care and work at the heart of their community.

Essential Experience:
A good understanding of the local area and the people that live there.
Experience of working at a local level with community organisations.
Previous experience of managing multiple pieces of work or projects to successful conclusions.
Experience of managing relationships and networking with external partners.
Experience of, and ability to prepare, manage and monitor budgets.
Experience of utilising insight and data in relation to specific projects.
Essential Skills:
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to manage a team and challenge them to continually develop.
A flexible approach to working hours to include evening and weekend work.
A strong awareness and commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
An awareness of the importance of safeguarding policy and practice.
