ReesLeisure Becomes Hampshire FA’s Latest Platinum Signing

ReesLeisure join Hampshire FA's rapidly growing Supporters Club as a Platinum Member

ReesLeisure manages some of the south’s most exciting sporting events including the ABP Southampton Marathon, Winchester Half Marathon, Southampton Sailing Week and Wessex Swim Schools.

ReesLeisure has signed up to partner with Hampshire FA to encourage more footballers into taking on a new challenge in 2022! With everything from first time triathlons to marathons, there really is a challenge for everyone to take on in the new year. Offering family-friendly events with challenges for all abilities, ReesLeisure is looking to encourage more activity on and off the pitch. With opportunities to create team challenges and take on cycling, sailing, running and triathlons all across Hampshire, ReesLeisure events see over 15,000 entrants each year and the events have raised in excess of £2 million for local charities.

ReesLeisure has joined Hampshire FA as a Platinum Member of the Hampshire FA Supporters Club in a 1-year agreement. The partnership will see sporting events and activities hosted by ReesLeisure actively promoted across the association’s website and social media sites, with in-person advertisements at Hampshire FA's local hub sites to promote various sporting opportunities along with much more in the pipeline. The aim is to try and persuade the many footballers across Hampshire's grassroots football community to take on a new challenge, with ReesLeisure providing that very opportunity.

“The partnership between ReesLeisure and Hampshire FA was a natural progression. Hampshire FA is committed to supporting grassroots football, encouraging more participants, players, referees, and volunteers to support the nation’s favourite game. Similarly, ReesLeisure aims to target more people, with or without a sporting focus, to engage them in one of their many sporting events and programmes and perhaps challenge them beyond what they think is their own capability.

Outside of football, we recognise that all the above members in the grassroots game undertake different exercises and sports alongside football, all of which help aid and compliment their own development and sporting prowess. Our two brands can work together with shared vision and awareness that can help people be inspired to take up football and back the other side, to take up a new sport and challenge themselves beyond the pitch.” - Hampshire FA CEO, Neil Cassar.

Discussing the partnership with Hampshire FA, ReesLeisure Managing Director, Chris Rees, said: “We are delighted to be able to partner with Hampshire FA to offer exciting challenges to the footballers and their families, which will enhance their training and offer some exciting days out in 2022!”
