VACANCY: New Forest & District Youth Football League Committee Members

New Forest & District Youth Football League
NF&DYFL have a variety of exciting new roles available on their committee

New Forest & District Youth Football League (NF&DYFL) is a growing Youth Football League for clubs in East Dorset, the New Forest and West Hampshire. They are a progressive league, with a clear development ethos and we fully embrace Futsal – our players play more Futsal more regularly than most Leagues in England.

2021/22 will see further development of the league - their U7's will play 4v4 and, as well as their Sunday Football / Futsal league, they are expanding a mid-week Futsal offering to more age groups.

However, as part of the next phase of growth, NF&DYFL requires further volunteers for its Committee to help run its Foundation Phase leagues (U7 to U12).

This is an expansion and segregation of previous roles, allowing the League to continue to grow and not relying on one individual to do all the work. As a result, we do not anticipate that any of the roles below will require commitment of more than 4 hours per week at peak and 2 hours per week during the main bulk of the season.

Roles being recruited for include:

  • Treasurer – invoicing clubs for central venue costs, recording purchases, paying suppliers, reconciling bank account and preparing annual accounts for AGM
  • Fixtures Secretary – arranging fixtures between league teams, reviewing league structures and ensuring teams are in the most appropriate league for their development
  • Communications Officer – Twitter / Social Media presence and communications with clubs / managers and other stakeholders
  • Development Officer – developing ideas for League CPD and other development concepts for players and coaches

There is an annual AGM that club officers are asked to attend; this was online in 2021 and is anticipated to remain so in future years. The vast majority of work can be done remotely / via email.
