THE FA GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL AWARDS

Hampshire’s Grassroots Heroes have been announced!

The annual FA Grassroots Football Awards opened their nomination process in March 2020 which saw a significant increase in nominations for the Hampshire area.

 

The FA and McDonald’s Grassroots Football Awards are for people who make a positive difference. It’s our way to celebrate the fantastic individuals who put their heart and soul into the grassroots game across England – and say a huge thank you to the incredible volunteers who inspire us all. 


Hampshire FA are delighted to announce the below local winners for each category:

GRASSROOTS LEAGUE OF THE YEAR – Hampshire Girls Youth Football League

GROUNDS TEAM OF THE YEAR - BTC Southampton FC  

GRASSROOTS COACH OF THE YEAR FOR YOUTH – Chris Brown (West Wight Youth FC)

GRASSROOTS COACH OF THE YEAR FOR ADULTS - Jason Brook (Newchurch FC)

GRASSROOTS PROJECT OF THE YEAR - Trailblazers 71

VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR - Andy Harvey (AFC Hiltingbury)

GRASSROOTS MATCH OFFICIAL OF THE YEAR – Paul Scoble

RISING STAR OF THE YEAR - Rhiannon Stevens

 

The next stage for our local award winners is for their nominations to be submitted to the national judging panel where they will decide on the overall national winners for each category.
