When Are Courses Starting Again?

Answering Your Coach Education Questions

Please see the information below regarding all things Coach Education in Hampshire :

Coaching and Referee Courses:

Hampshire FA are still unable to deliver any coach or referee education courses at this time due to lockdown restrictions affecting both practice and the venues that we work with.  At this point we have no additional information on when courses will be available again and await further guidance from the government. This applies to all coaching, refereeing, first aid and face to face safeguarding/child welfare courses.

First Aid Qualifications:

If you are already a qualified coach and your First Aid qualification has expired/expires between 1st February 2020 and 31 July 2021 you will have an extension applied to your FAN records through until 31st July 2021.  Please note that holding a valid first aid qualification is considered best practice and a requirement for Charter Standard, it is not a requirement for affiliation and will therefore not affect this process.  For Charter Standard, coaches/clubs will be given sufficient flexibility to update qualifications when we return to normal practice.

Safeguarding Children Re-Certification:

If you are already a qualified coach and your Safeguarding Children qualification is due for renewal you can do this online here.

Online Courses:

There are a number of online courses available currently from FA Education, the links for these are below:

FA Playmaker Supported BT:

You can register your interest for The FA’s new free online course providing an introduction to delivering football activity here. The course covers how to make football happen for all by connecting with players, supporting fun sessions and keeping participants safe.
