The highest food hygiene rating score was awarded to our facility, Stoneham Lane Football Complex, after an inspection from the local authority 

The Food Hygiene Rating Scheme (FHRS) gives potential consumers valuable information regarding the hygiene of food and kitchen facilities. The scheme is run by local authorities in England and applies to restaurants, pubs, cafes, takeaways, hotels, supermarkets and food shops.

Each business is given their hygiene rating when it is inspected by a food safety officer from the business’s local authority.

The food safety officer inspecting Stoneham Lane Football Complex checked how well the facility is meeting the law by examining the following:

• How hygienically the food is handled – how it is prepared, cooked, re-heated, cooled and stored
• The condition of the building – the cleanliness, layout, lighting and ventilation
• How the business manages and records the actions taken to make sure the food is safe

We are very proud to say that on the first inspection we have achieved the highest rating!
