Hampshire FA Working With Southampton Children’s Hospital
Southampton Children's Hospital's Youth Workers from the Nephrology Unit (PEEER Youth Workers) are working in partnership with Hampshire FA's Disability Football Development Team.
On Monday 28th October they will offer young people living with a long-term Kidney condition the opportunity to play football together at Hampshire FA's Havant Facility, Front Lawn Community Hub. Under the guidance of experienced Hampshire FA Coach Mick Conway, players will get the chance to learn new skills, work as part of a team and show off their football in fun, small-sided games.
Alongside this they will take part in Youth Worker Activities, exploring healthy life choices.
This opportunity is also open to siblings of those young people taking part, enabling shared support and engagement for young people affected by the impact of a long-term health condition.
