The Football Association (The FA) is the governing body of football in England and has the responsibility to promote and develop the game at all levels from grass roots through to the professional game, The FA Cup and the England International team.
Creating winning England Teams requires a coaching workforce with access to a world class education system. The education and development of coaches plays a pivotal role in ensuring The FA is successful in its implementation of the England DNA coaching philosophy.
The County Coach Developers area a team of coach educators working at grassroots level in line with The FA Education plan, who provide world leading coaching qualifications and CPD for the grassroots coaching workforce including but not exclusive to Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3.
As a County Coach Developer you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of The FA Coaching Strategy across the National Game, by supporting the development of creative coaches who are excellent teachers of the game. You will be expected to support the delivery of coach education and coach development opportunities in the county for a minimum of 140 days a year.
This position will be based within Hampshire FA, full time, with an initial fixed term contract through until 31st July 2021. The position will be home based. A competitive salary, attractive benefits and a job need car are on offer for the right candidate.
Essential
UEFA B Coaching Licence, FA Coach Educator at Level 1, Level 2 and UEFA B
Understanding of FA LTPD-4 corner model
Complete understanding of FA DNA, coaching and learning philosophies
Sensitive to development needs of adult learners
Experience of Grassroots Football
Experience in Player Development
Experience in Coach Education and Coach Development
Team/Player Coaching experience
Experience of developing young Player/Coach –related programme
Modern, progressive approach to coaching and learning
Ability to develop, prioritise, evaluate work programme to best meet the FA group objectives
Modern, progressive approach to coaching and learning
Desirable
Qualifications and/or experience in a child related profession
Experience of working with and maintaining effective working relationships with County FAs, Coaches, Schools, Clubs and key stakeholders
Experience of mentoring coaches
FA Youth Award holder
Ability to work with coaches in line with UEFA/FA syllabi
