Hampshire FA appointed operators of a new facility
Hampshire FA are proud to announce that they have been appointed as operators of the £8 million Stoneham Lane Football Complex facility, due to open in Autumn 2019. This will include 1 full-size and 2 enlarged floodlit artificial pitches, 4 adult and junior grass pitches, as well as 8 changing room facilities located in Eastleigh. These will facilitate a number of local grassroots clubs and leagues including Eastleigh District Mini-Soccer League and AFC Stoneham.
Stoneham Lane Football Complex emerged following Eastleigh Borough Council’s procurement of a £4.9 million grant via the national Parklife scheme. This scheme sees the FA, Premier League and Sport England combine in order to create a sustainable model of football facilities. Facilities are based around artificial grass pitches in order to reduce the costs and stresses of maintaining grass pitches in wet weather pitches.
