Fair Play Awards

Hampshire FA is delighted to announce a huge step forward in eliminating poor behaviour in grassroots football in conjunction with the Hampshire FA Discipline Committee.

Hampshire FA is committed to cleaning up the grassroots game and abolishing bad behaviour. One of the initiatives to help achieve this target is the annual Fair Play Awards. Judging is carried out at the end of each season based on clubs with the least disciplinary penalty points per game played. The Fair Play Awards were originally for adult male teams but have been extended to youth male teams, women’s teams and girls teams for Season 2010/11 and the Hampshire FA Discipline Committee.

Hampshire FA Chief Executive Neil Cassar said: “Fair play is paramount to the success of grassroots football and I am delighted to promote better standards of behaviour which is a key theme of The FA’s National Game Strategy.
