The FA Football Futures programme which in Hampshire is sponsored by Southampton Solent University is aimed at offering young people regional, national and international volunteering opportunities and support across 6 themes:
- Coaching and Working with teams
- Running Events
- Running and Developing the Game
- Promoting the Game
- RESPECT Ambassadors
The FA's Football Futures programme is a rewards programme for young leaders aged 14-24 years. It aims to retain and train leaders through incentives and workshops across the 6 themes above to increase employ-ability and career prospects.
Volunteers can sign up and submit any volunteer hours accumulated using the following link (which details more info about the programme). Volunteers will be rewarded differently depending on their age and experience, however it is an opportunity to unlock key incentives.
***Hampshire FA Football Futures Award***
Hampshire FA together with Southampton Solent University are offering the opportunity to members to nominate a young volunteer between the ages of 14-24 for the Football Futures Award.
The awards will recognise one male and one female leader for the award. Before filling out the nomination can you please ensure that the Young Leader meets the following criteria:
1) Is not aged over 24 years (by Saturday 2nd June 2018)
2) Is/has not been paid for the volunteering at your club/organisation
The award will be presented at the Hampshire FA Grassroots Football Awards taking place Saturday 2nd June 2018 at St Mary's Stadium, Southampton (Mike Channon suite). The nominated candidate(s) will be required to attend should they win the award. Please note that the nomination for the award will be selected by an awards panel.
The nomination period for the Football Futures Award(s) is open from Thursday 22nd March - Monday 9th April 2018 closing at 12pm. You are free to also register as many young volunteers as possible by completing this registration form. If successful, you will hear from us by Friday 13th April.
