Hampshire County Council is dedicated to making Hampshire a flourishing place for children and young people to thrive. With inclusivity at the heart of its work, the service supports the most vulnerable and those disadvantaged, helping them to secure the best possible start in life, whilst supported by a unified community.
For the first time, the fostering service will unite in a partnership with Hampshire FA and have opted for the Gold Supporters package. Our partner programme will now offer adoption and fostering links with services linked to Hampshire County Council, cementing an even bigger partnership with the council across grassroots football in Hampshire. Hampshire County Council Fostering Services’ advertising board will be proudly displayed at Stoneham Lane Football Complex and King George V Football Complex, the two largest sites that Hampshire FA operate in the county.
“I am really happy that Hampshire County Council Fostering Services and the Hampshire Football Association have entered into this partnership. As a passionate football fan and a foster carer in my local community, Hampshire FA can provide a wonderful opportunity to celebrate fostering, raise awareness of the need for foster carers in our local area and promote football to foster children, foster carers and their wider families too”. Anthony, Foster Carer.
“We are kickstarting the new season with yet another rewarding partnership. A partnership that will be mutually beneficial to both organisations, providing us with an opportunity to promote fostering as an option for many individuals looking to take this route for themselves and coupled with us being able to promote our opportunities within the grassroots game for children and young people. We hope that by working together and uniting in this partnership, we can support the many children looking for safe and secure, happy households and simultaneously, for us to help them find their love for the game as players, coaches, volunteers, or referees”. Neil Cassar, Hampshire FA CEO.
