WHAT IS THE CLUB DEVELOPMENT FUND?

Hampshire FA is always looking to work with our member clubs to increase opportunities and better the experience for players throughout the county.

The awarded contribution should be seen as a one-off start up fund, each applicant club needs to demonstrate how they intend to sustain the running of the provision beyond the first season.

The Fund is only available to Charter Standard Clubs and those working toward achieving the status within 12 months; this can include new clubs who are in the process of affiliation.

Applications are considered on their effectiveness, need and ingenuity for retaining & recruiting players.  Kit, equipment, facility and utility costs will not be supported unless evidence can be provided for how this provision will support retaining & recruiting players.


HOW MUCH CAN YOU APPLY FOR?

This season there are three different levels for funding:

  • Mini-Soccer & 9v9 Award (U7-U12) - £250
  • Youth & Adult ‘Sustain’ Award (U13-Open Age) - £500
  • Youth & Adult ‘Create’ Award (U13-Open Age) - £750

Successful applications will have to meet the required prerequisites detailed below:


MINI SOCCER & 9v9 AWARD (U7-U12)

Who can apply?

Any Charter Standard Club or new/existing club working toward Charter Standard that is looking to create and/or maintain Mini Soccer & Youth football teams (U7 – U12).

How Much Can You Apply For?

£250.00

What do you have to do for the Funding?

  • Detail how the fund will either develop a new team(s) or sustain an existing team(s)
  • Affiliate the identified team(s) for the 2017/18 season
  • Attain/Maintain Charter Standard Status by June 2017
  • Demonstrate player pathways, i.e. how you will transfer players from U7- U8, 7 V 7 to 9 V 9 and so on

YOUTH & ADULT ‘SUSTAIN’ AWARD (U13-Open Age)

Who can apply?

Any Charter Standard Club or new/existing club working toward Charter Standard that is looking to SUSTAIN U13 to adult 11v11 football teams.

How Much Can You Apply For?

£500.00 

What do you have to do for the Funding?

  • Detail how the fund will sustain an existing team(s)
  • Affiliate the identified team(s) for the 2017/18 season
  • Attain/Maintain Charter Standard Status by June 2017
  • Demonstrate player pathways, i.e. transfer players from U18-Adults

YOUTH & ADULT ‘CREATE’ AWARD (U13-Open Age)

Who can apply?

Any Charter Standard Club or new/existing club working toward Charter Standard that is looking to CREATE 11v11 football teams (U13 to adult).

How Much Can You Apply For?

£750.00

What do you have to do for the Funding?

  • Detail how the fund will lead to the creation of a new team(s)
  • Affiliate the identified team(s) for the 2017/18 season
  • Attain/Maintain Charter Standard Status by June 2017
  • Demonstrate player pathways, i.e. transfer players from U18-Adults

When Applying Please Consider:

  • Applications for 14+ male, female and disability teams will be prioritised.
  • A well written application offering detail and purpose will stand more chance of funding compared to an empty/poorly articulated application.
  • Link the application to FA & Hampshire FA schemes and player pathways where appropriate.
  • This scheme is not for facility development or a replacement for sponsorship.
  • Partner funding from external & additional funding partners/sources will be seen as a more attractive application.
  • We review applications on a quarterly basis, please remain patient as you can imagine there are numerous clubs seeking financial assistance.
  • If you have been rejected, don’t be put off applying in the future just make sure you can better your previous application by speaking to your local area FDO.
