Hampshire FA 3G ATP Pitch of the Year

Entries are now welcome for the Hampshire FA 3G ATP Pitch of the Year sponsored by Technical Surfaces.

Entries are now welcome for the Hampshire FA 3G Pitch of the Year sponsored by Technical Surfaces.

For this inaugural award sites are invited to enter their 3G FIFA quality pitch (not FIFA Quality Pro as this is aimed at professional use) to be judged by a local panel of experts who will determine the top 3 pitches. The winners will then be invited to the Hampshire FA’s Grassroots Football Awards ceremony, this year it will take place at the Ageas Bowl, on Saturday 15th July 2023.

There is often a misconception that artificial pitches don’t require much maintenance but to maximise the life of the facility then how they are looked after is crucial, so we want to recognise the importance of this work. We also want to recognize good practice so we will look to highlight innovative practices that can be shared with other sites.

We will take several factors into account including overall pitch management and usage levels, condition of the artificial grass and other associated factors such as litter, fencing and goals.

Minimum criteria will be that the 3G pitch is

  • FIFA quality
  • On the 3G register (FA or FIFA approved)
  • At least 3 years old.

Please contact our Facilities & Investment Manager, Sacha Nicholas, in order to apply.

Please aim to provide the following details to help speed up the process of your nomination:

·      Name and address of site

·      Contact details

·      Reasons why you have nominated the pitch

·      Pictures of the pitch

Nominations are open from midnight on 10th February 2023 and will close at midnight on Friday 10th March 2023.
