The Boys Sunday Under 12's Cup final was held at Winklebury Football Complex in Basingstoke on 8th May 2022. The match was sponsored by Savvy Accountancy Solutions and the match ball was sponsored by Harold G Walker Solicitors.

A minute's silence was observed before kick-off in memory of Robin Osborne the President of the Hampshire Football Association, who passed away recently.

This cup final proved to be the highest scoring of the weekend with Havant running away with the cup, but none-the-less helping to create a very thrilling match.

With only 11 minutes from the start, Greenfields found themselves two goals down when Lady Luck seemed to have deserted them. An unfortunate mix-up in the second minute resulting in a loose ball being diverted into the empty net. Nine minutes later they conceded a second goal when a penalty was awarded for handball (no VAR to check this one!). Havant's Sonny Clark converted the spot-kick. A few minutes later he put a free kick over the bar.

With Havant having the better of the play they nearly scored again when Kenny Sherwood had a good shot saved by 'keeper, Jayden Pilline, and the rebound was put over the bar.

A great individual goal was scored by Oakley Gouge to put Havant further ahead in the 25th minute and went in four up when Gouge scored a similar goal in added time.

Greenfields came out in the second-half full of determination and opened with a shot by Tyler Augusti, which was well saved by the goalkeeper. As Greenfields pressed, shots from Harry Scowcroft and Samuel Turner were well saved. Turner looked to have scored a few minutes later but the ' keeper pulled off a great save.

Against the run of play Havant increased their lead when Jack Edwards scored from close range in the 50th minute. This goal changed the game again with Havant dominating to the final whistle. Harley Willoughby scored in the 55th minute and Sherwood netted again in the 56th.

Just on full-time it looked as if Greenfields would score a consolation goal but Will Thornton's header smashed against the crossbar and was cleared.

The Referee was Patrick Hodge and he was assisted by Max Gardiner and William Clarke. The Fourth Official was George Elliott.

The Player of the Match Award went to Havant's Oakley Gouge.
