Eggar's School Commences New Partnership

Welcoming our first Hampshire-based school to our network of commercial partners

Hampshire FA has welcomed the first-ever Hampshire-based school to its commercial programme. The county FA is delighted to welcome Alton-based Eggar’s School, which has joined the association in a 1-season partnership as a Bronze Supporter of the association.

This is the first time a Hampshire-based school has ever entered into a commercial agreement with the County FA creating a bit of history in the mix. As a not-for-profit organisation, Eggar’s continues to back the grassroots game and already has a strong link with its local club, Alton FC.

Utilising its own amazing sporting facilities, Eggar’s is proud to regularly excel at all the sports they offer, always providing strong opposition for both state and independent schools in the area.

Founded in 1642 by John Eggar, the school is a thriving Academy and is firmly established as one of the best state schools in Hampshire. It boasts a magnificent 38-acre site, creating an inspirational environment for its students to enjoy their learning and enhance their education. Facilities include a bespoke Refectory and a state-of-the-art Astroturf pitch. With a strong, supportive and established Leadership Team, the school firmly believes in the relentless pursuit of exceptional teaching and learning across all subjects. This is recognised by the consistent Ofsted reports that rate the school as ‘Good’ overall, however with many areas recognised as ‘outstanding’.

“Focusing on each and every student as an individual, we are really proud of the strong sense of community which enhances our students’ experience at the school. We are particularly proud of all the success we have achieved across the many sports we offer and are delighted to begin our partnership with Hampshire FA.  Students regularly try new team games and individual sports as part of our unique extra-curricular programme, the Eggar’s Experience. It has made physical education one of our key strengths. If you would like to come and see our school in action, don’t hesitate to get in touch.” - Patrick Sullivan, Eggar’s School Head Teacher.

Hampshire FA is delighted to welcome the school to its commercial programme and hopes that the school will continue as a partner beyond the initial 1-season agreement.

“It brings me great joy that we have our first Hampshire school in our commercial programme. Eggar’s School has recognised the potential of joining forces to collaborate with the association and put itself firmly on the map in front of our diverse membership. Being commercially associated with Hampshire FA, will offer the school ample exposure across its channels to promote the school’s open days, after-school and recreational activities, promote its reviews, admission dates and much more. This will give the school a competitive edge as it finds itself in a unique spot in our commercial programme” - Neil Cassar, Hampshire FA CEO.
