Hampshire FA Re-Launches Media Associate Programme

Opportunity to benefit as a an Official Media Associate of Hampshire FA

Hampshire FA is set to bring back the Media Associate Programme (formerly 'Media Partner Programme'), a programme that seeks to make media outlets/organisations as well as freelancers, official associates of the association.

The programme previously launched in 2017 and saw radio stations, newspaper organisations, videographers and photographers branded as official partners of the association. Media Partners would be provided with an array of diverse benefits that reciprocated their services as part of an in-kind package for supporting the association and grassroots football.

Now, rebranded as the Media Associate Programme, media associates are given earlier notification of events taking place with a breakdown of the event details and a press release outlining what will be occurring on the day. Other benefits include priority access to attend and film, photograph or report at a Hampshire FA event or cup final, a website section dedicated to their organisation and/or services, social media promotions, a media certificate signed by the Hampshire FA CEO to certify the organisation/individual is an Official Media Associate and many more benefits (see SLA to the bottom of this press release).

Due to the official partnerships formed with each of Hampshire FA’s media partners previously, this paved the way for collaboration on several initiatives and therefore extended beyond the standardised benefits set out in the agreement. Our aim as part of this programme as a county football association is to increase the exposure of grassroots football and what’s on locally for individuals so that more and more people in the county, particularly those who may be coming into Hampshire to live from outside areas, are aware of our clubs, leagues and various programmes.

Furthermore, we aim to work more closely with local media in our county and form relationships that can be mutually beneficial to both organisations. One such benefit recognised by many of Hampshire FA’s members in the past, is the association between Hampshire FA and a media provider, with members finding it more reassuring to respond and partake in interviews or news pieces as they have seen the county FA willingly encouraging it through this programme.

To become an Official Media Associate of the Hampshire FA, please review the attached SLA to the bottom of this press release, download, complete and return to Hampshire FA: Communications@HampshireFA.com. Once received, the agreement will be reviewed by the Communications team together with the CEO and a call will be set-up with a view to then meet in person (November 2021 onwards). Please note if you are a media freelancer, you will be required to obtain an approved and enhanced CRC specifically for the work you undertake as part of the association. Details will be sent to all registered.

The programme is inviting media organisations and freelancers to sign-up as media associates from today, Thursday 7th October 2021 with the contract running until the 30th June 2022. Official announcements will be made by the association of all registered partners who have signed up to the programme in this period on the website and social media channels.
