Get Involved: New Under 21’s Division

A new Under 21’s division is being established to bridge the gap from youth to adult football in Hampshire.

Testway Youth Football League are seeking to establish a new Under 21’s league with the support of Hampshire FA. We ask any new or existing teams that may be interested in joining to come forward by emailing Pedro.Viveiros@HampshireFA.com.

Testway Youth Football League was established in 1988 (formerly the 120 League). The league started with 4 teams from villages in Hampshire. Since then, the league has expanded to 244 teams from Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset, running leagues from under 7’s through to under 18's. The ethos of the league has always been to encourage children of all abilities to take part in football. The league has won the Respect Award twice and is constantly working with clubs to improve all aspects of the Respect ethos.

For the 2021/22 season, the league would like to establish a new Under 21’s division to help bridge the gap between youth to adult football in Hampshire. Full details of the league will be confirmed once the Testway Youth Football League and Hampshire FA have had the chance to gage interest levels. However, provisional plans are as follows:

  • Applications accepted from any local teams across Hampshire and surrounding areas
  • Entry to the league will be free
  • Fixtures played on Saturday mornings
  • Possibility of using a central venue to reduce travel for participating teams

The league is flexible and open to ideas. To discuss this further and/or register your interest, please email Pedro.Viveiros@HampshireFA.com by 13th August 2021.

UPDATE 06/08/2021:

Plans are progressing well for the establishment of this league, with interest from various clubs across Hampshire. As a result, we have extended the deadline to register interest by an extra week from 6th August to 13th August 2021.
