FREE Football Futures Event This February

In 2017, Southampton Solent University entered into partnership with the Hampshire Football Association (FA) as sponsors of the Football Futures programme in Hampshire. The FA Football Futures programme is a rewards programme for young leaders aged 14-24 years actively involved in volunteering in football.

The programme aims to retain and train leaders through incentives and workshops across the themes of:

• Coaching & working with teams
• Promoting the game
• Running and developing the game
• Refereeing
• Running events
• RESPECT

Activities support students in increasing their employability and career prospects and they are able to log their voluntary hours through the online portal. Each time students achieve a key volunteer milestone, as set by the programme (10, 25, 50, 75, 100 hours), they receive recognition for their contribution and efforts.

In partnership with Solent University, a Football Futures event will be hosted on Friday 23 February 2018 at Solent University which will be open to all students (years 12 and 13) and/or anyone actively involved in football (aged 14-24).
