Interested in an exciting opportunity to work in grassroots football?                         

Hampshire FA would like to invite applications from suitably qualified applicants to help increase football participation through the facilities at our new site at Front Lawn Recreation Ground in Havant for the local community.

The new facility will include a new floodlit enclosed 3G artificial pitch, refurbished dressing rooms, new offices and meeting room space and a renovated floodlit multi use games area. 

The key areas of work for the Community Co-ordinators will be as follows:

  • Unite the game locally through the co-ordination of football provision across the project area
  • Liaising with key partners to align provision to positively impact the priority areas of delivery for football
  • Supporting the management of the site during peak times
  • Covering reception and communal areas including kitchen/bar
  • Ensure that the facility is a warm and welcoming environment
  • Establish positive working relationships with key partner clubs and project partners
  • Support the delivery of the business plan of the site and report regularly on usage and performance indicators
  • Promote the benefits of the facility to the public and the local football community
  • Ensure the facility is accessible and provide excellent customer service at all times

Employed by Hampshire FA, the role holder will be based in Havant but may be required at head office in Basingstoke as and when required.  These roles predominately involve evening and weekend work.

These positions will be available from 1 September 2017 (but possibly sooner) and will be contracted until 30 June 2019; further extension of this contract is possible subject to funding and performance.

The new facility will include a new floodlit enclosed 3G artificial pitch, refurbished dressing rooms, new offices and meeting room space and a renovated floodlit multi use games area. 

The key areas of work for the Community Officer will be as follows:

  • Unite the game locally through the strategic coordination of all football provision and investment across the project area
  • Influencing key partners to align provision and investment to positively impact the priority areas of delivery for football
  • Management of the site during peak times and line management of members of the paid workforce
  • Management of reception area and ensure that the facility is a warm and welcoming environment
  • Establish positive working relationships with key partner clubs and project partners
  • Support the delivery of the business plan of the site and report regularly on usage and performance indicators
  • Promote the benefits of the facility to the public and the local football community
  • Ensure the facility is accessible and provide excellent customer service at all times

Employed by Hampshire FA, the role holder will be based in Havant but will be expected to work countywide across the six divisional associations and at head office in Basingstoke as and when required.  There will also be a requirement to work evenings and weekends.
