Hampshire FA Re-launch Return to Football Initiative

Fans and players all over the world have recently been watching the European Cup in France and the National Team’s matches with much excitement...

To build on this interest, Hampshire FA is again promoting the initiative – Return to Football – aimed at players who have been under suspension for more than 12 months. There is currently in excess of 3500 players on suspension in Hampshire for unpaid disciplinary monies. In many cases, these outstanding monies include late fines which have been imposed for non-payment.

The ‘Return to Football’ initiative will offer suspended players the opportunity to have late fines removed which will hopefully encourage them to return to playing football. Original fines imposed will remain in force and will be payable prior to any suspension being lifted. The ‘Return to Football’ initiative will run from the 11th July 2016 – 31st August 2016*.

The adult 11v11 game has been in decline in recent years and the ‘Return to Football’ initiative will be one tool we will be using to encourage players to return to this format of the game - and others including small sided – to support local leagues and clubs.

For further details, please contact the Hampshire FA Discipline Department on 01256 853000 or by email on Discipline@HampshireFA.com.

* This does not apply to any players placed under general suspension during the 2015/16 season.
