FA Club Link Schools

With the launch of The FA National Game Strategy and the new PE and School Sport Strategy for Young People, The FA now feel the time is right to amalgamate The FA Charter Standard Scheme into the School-Club Link Programme. Therefore, The FA Charter Standard Schools Programme has now been replaced with the FA Club Link Schools Programme.

Club Links is a key area in both the National Game Strategy and the new FA Corporate Strategy to drive the growth and retention of new club and school teams. As part of the new four-year Business Strategies, County Football Associations have been asked to identify and work with schools on an annual basis to support more young people to make the transition from schools’ football into club football and form sustainable links with FA Charter Standard Clubs.

As part of the way forward, Club Link schools who are committed to developing sustainable links with FA Charter Standard Clubs and additional football opportunities within schools will receive equipment bags and access to England tickets along with a certificate to show they are an FA Club Links School for that year. For more details on what the scheme entails please click on the ‘FA Club Link Schools Info’ link on the right.

Beginning on 1 September, The FA and County FAs will continue to support 1,000 schools a year. If you would like your school to be one of those involved please complete the ‘Expression of Interest Form’ and send it to Chris Smith at Hampshire FA.
