Hampshire FA - developing football for everyone
About Us - promoting local football

Sponsorship & Media

Background

Hampshire FA is one of the largest County Football Associations in the Country with over 4,750 teams competing every week in local football. With over 55,000 players and 250,000 people involved in local football, there is no doubt that Hampshire FA provides the opportunity for perspective partners to access and contact the heart of the local community.

Football in this Country is going through a huge change in culture. Whilst traditional methods of business such as governance and rules are still in existence, Hampshire FA is a leading provider of Football Development Initiatives, which are delivered through courses, workshops and taster sessions.

Since becoming Incorporated in April 2000, Hampshire FA is now far more commercially astute and recognises the need for marketing and strategic planning to secure the long term future of the game in our County. Hampshire FA is a Limited Company by Guarantee and a non-profit making organisation. Therefore, any year end surplus is ploughed back into the game through development activities such as safeguarding children, facility investment and youth football to name but a few.

There are many opportunities for partnerships to be formed with local organisations and outside agencies through marketing and sponsorship. We operate over 30 County Cup Competitions, with over 1500 teams competing, and 4 representative teams, who compete in regional and national competitions. We offer advertising in our County Handbook, Networks Magazine (widely regarded as best County Magazine in the Country), Cup Final Programmes and on our new dynamic website, HampshireFA.com which attracts over 1,000 separate visitors a day and this figure is continuing to grow as we integrate online member services.

We offer County Cup Sponsors the opportunity to have a marketing presence at the venue of the Final to promote their business, products and services, in addition to any banners they wish to erect around the perimeter of the pitch and distribution of flyers.

Hampshire FA is committed to ensuring that all partners receive maximum exposure and recognition of being a supporter of grassroots football.

Season 2009/10 has seen a massive boost in commercial partnerships and all 26 county cup competitions have an official sponsor. However, there are still further opportunities to become involved with Hampshire FA and support grassroots football in the county.

Opportunity - Girls Centre of Excellence

Hampshire FA is committed to ensuring that every player is able to reach his/her potential and in particular develop more skills at a younger age. Hampshire FA operate a Girls Centre of Excellence in four age groups; U10, U12, U14 and U16 based at the University Sports Ground, Wide Lane, Eastleigh and is responsible for recruiting and selecting the most talented girls within the county at each age group and to provide quality coaching, education and welfare.

The Centre forms an integral part of The FA's female player development pathway and represents the pinnacle from which our youth international players are selected and we have been successful with two players selected for the national team. The purpose of the Centre is to disseminate technical, tactical and theoretical information to each player stimulating player learning to promote a player centred approach and encompass the principles of long-term player development.

The four teams within the Centre play each week in the AFA Football League against their counterparts from Reading, Chelsea and Fulham to name but a few.
